It’s a simple process to become a Volunteer Leader with us and in return for your commitment to the Green Team, we will provide you with some of the best professional development, training and support there is.

We firmly believe in investing in our volunteers.  We take time to understand your motivations for joining us and what skills you would like to learn or develop.

As part of our commitment to our volunteers, which includes a comprehensive weekend induction training and regular feedback meetings with our Volunteer Co-ordinator, we also offer two amazing gatherings in the year which our volunteers are encouraged to take part in, growing their skills and confidence.

See the How to Apply page to download an application form.

In the meantime, read about the amazing adventures of Carol Edwards.  Carol joined us as a volunteer leader on a placement during her studies at Edinburgh University but loved it so much she stayed for more!

Here’s what one of our leaders says about her time volunteering with us:

“…. once again It was an absolute joy. I felt the need…to say how much I LOVE volunteering with green team and how much doing it has affected me as a person and impacted my time in Edinburgh, it’s so refreshing and exhilarating every time, no matter what I’m doing! I can’t wait to get on more projects and continue volunteering with you for more years!!”
