First we headed off to Capielaw woods where we identified trees and got an extensive lesson into the history of the sycamore tree. After this we did some clearing of low branches and rhododendron as well as clearing a tree or two where the woodland would benefit from its removal. After a game of following a rope blindfolded which was fun for some and traumatic for others, we set off for Vogrie. Once there, we played games in the nearby park and inside when it got too cold. After dinner we went to bed.

Woke up bright and early for most of us apart for the more reluctant. We then did tasks such as clearing around new saplings and some more rhododendron clearing. Then we headed back to Tynecastle.
