On Sunday I went with the green team to a place called penicuik estate and there we went to cut down trees and clear out the forest. After clearing out the forest of Birch trees we walked around the estate and looked for anything that could be improved for the pathways (path clearing etc.) we then went on to having a tour of the old, ruined house and learnt about how it may have burnt down. Overall I enjoyed this day with the green team and learnt a number of things such as what tools to use when chopping down trees and how to start a fire. I also explored new areas I previously would not have gone to. And I especially enjoyed learning about the history of the ruins.
